HARPENDEN
After meeting with our clients we put together a detailed brief which would involve creating a new useable terrace to the rear of the garden. It was important that we paid special attention to the design of the new garden pod. Outdoor dining, entertaining and a Mediterranean planting palette where notable areas of the brief which needed to be explored.
The existing topography of the site did little to allow for level areas for dining and we therefore proposed raising the existing level with a series of retaining walls.
outcome
The outcome was a real success and having revisited the project a number of times since completion feel the planting is developing well. Our brief form the client was create two separate areas with contrasting planting styles. The top terrace was created using a number of exiting feature Acer’s and the rear terrace included three feature Olive trees.
