BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
A residential care home in the heart of the Chiltern Hills. We felt it important to run a series of consultations with the residents, residents family, carers and owners in order to establish a clear brief.
It is becoming clear that landscapes, gardens and trees are able to speed up the recovery of patients as well as having a number of additional health benefits of participants.
We soon established that it was fundamental that we create a landscape that the residents were able to engage with throughout the year.

By providing step free access throughout the whole scheme we were able to allow residents and their families to be able to enjoy the full extent of the landscape.
We designed raised growing bed and included a green house for which the residents were able to partake in gardening activities throughout the seasons. Sensory plants were used to stimulate residents senses. This was a project which was close to all our hearts and we certainly found the process very rewarding.
